Ambien.

Ambien (zolpidem) is a hypnotic medicine that causes deep relaxation and helps you to fall asleep faster. When taking Ambien you must plan for at least 7-8 hours of sleep, as otherwise you may experience sleep problems. Before you start the treatment, make sure to talk to your health care provider and discuss any other drugs you are taking at the moment (chlorpromazine, antidepressants, rifampin, itraconazole etc), as well as any medical conditions you have or used to have. Please make sure you report liver disease, drug or alcohol addiction, a history of depression, kidney disease, lung disease, and myasthenia gravis, as these may be important in determining your initial dose and schedule of treatment. Ambien is very well tolerated although a few mild side effects are still possible and can include stuffy nose, lack of coordination, sore throat, nausea, headache, muscle pain, blurred vision, dizziness, constipation, and some other ones. There is no need to worry as long as those symptoms go away and do not change in intensity. In that case make sure to report them to your doctor. Do not take Ambien for longer than 10 days unless advised otherwise.
